Nepal to play Afghanistan ‘A’ ahead of matches against Kenya

Kathmandu, February 22
Nepal’s national squad, set to leave for Noida in Delhi NCR, will play a one-off 50-over practice match with the second string squad of rivals Afghanistan next week.

According to team sources, the squad will play three matches while they train in India. One of the matches will be against Afghanistan ‘A’ and the other against a local Delhi team. Opponent team for the third fixture is yet to be decided. The ICC will have a major role in deciding who will play Nepal during the team’s stay in New Delhi.

Afghanistan’s national squad plays its home matches in Noida as the country can’t host matches due to security concerns.
The team returns home after a week, in time for final practice for the WCL matches against Kenya in March.
