Gratuity
is a sum of money paid to an employees at the end of a period of employment.
The gratuity calculated according to your last basic salary but there are
multiple factors that plays major roles while calculating end of service.
Now you can calculate your gratuity online in Qatar.
Currently
there are three types of facilities available in Qatar.
Less than 5 years of service, between 5 to 10 years of service and more than 10 years of service.

How
can you calculate your gratuity yourself?
If
your service period is less than 5 years, then you will get 3 weeks of salary
as a gratuity. Here is a simple formula to calculate your gratuity.
Basic salary ÷ 30 (One
month) x 21 (Three weeks) x (Total service year)
If
your service period is between 5 to 10 years, then you will get 4
weeks of salary as a gratuity. Here is a simple formula to calculate your
gratuity.
Basic salary ÷ 30 (One
month) x 28 (Four weeks) x (Total service year)
If
your service period is more than 10 years, then you will get 5 weeks of
salary as a gratuity.Here is a simple formula to calculate your gratuity.
Basic salary ÷ 30 (One
month) x 35 (Five weeks) x (Total service year)
How to calculate your gratuity online in Qatar?
Recently, The Ministry of Administrative Department, Labour and
Social Affairs has launched a website that will make easier for expatriates to
calculate their end of service.
However the website is only in Arabic language at the moment, but
we can expect an English version will come out very soon.
Visit this official website to calculate
your basic salary. The website is currently in Arabic Language but you can
still calculate your gratuity.
Please note: The last basic salary will be the base for calculation of
gratuity.
