Top ten laws to know about Qatar

Are you using social media in Qatar? You must be aware of some rules that is strictly prohibited in Qatar. Posting and sharing violent contents and tagging people without consent can make you trouble with Qatari law. Look at below nine other things you must know if you are using social media in Qatar.

Do not Share your password.
Sharing a password or entering it into a fake Facebook page, using your phone number on any vulgar site could lead to a serious problem. Use your Facebook ID security.

Don’t post vulgar pictures of drinking alcohol
Drinking alcohol is not a really good idea if you are Nepalese lower income person but the Qatar authorities accept non-Muslims drink alcohol but keep it under control. Posting photos on Facebook with your friends while drinking is not that big problem but drunken photo that offend Islamic value or the morals of the Qatar is against Qatari law. So it is advised all Nepalese community in Qatar not to drink alcohol at any cost.

Do not Insult Islam at all
Nobody want to hear abusive word against their culture, believes or community so it is clear they also don’t want to hear similar words from anyone insulting Muslim or Insulting Islam can lead you in serious problem. Be careful while posting, sharing or commenting on any social media that must not be against their dignity and culture.

Don’t share any accident photos
Do you think it is good to share someone’s problem on social media? Well, it is not good at all and it’s also not accepted in our own country Nepal. People who take or share photo of accident victims in Qatar could face criminal changers under Qatar law. Taking and sharing photo of any deceased or injured in accident without the consent of their representative punishable violation according to the Qatar law.

Do not make threats
Any post, comment or chats that are threatening to other people can land you in court. There are several case that have been complained to the police about such social media posts and the poster have been arrested.
